Pamela Anderson is making a stink at Rite Aid. The drug store is going to start carrying her new fragrances, Malibu Day and Malibu Night. I just assumed people who lived in the sea smelled the same both day and night, but I guess there is enough of a difference to make two scents out of it.
Anderson claims that she loved the idea of selling at Rite Aid because she is a "drugstore whore." I think some people can vouch for at least half of the new title she's given herself. Most of those people are probably still trying to get the scent of Malibu nights with Pam off of them.
I know I am making fun of her, but I have to say: This is a really good business plan. When I think of Rite Aid, I think of pharmacy. And when I think of pharmacy, I think of Pam Anderson. It just makes scents. Get it?
Face off : Rakhi VS Sherlyn
Sunday, January 24, 2010
The fact is we are suckers for makeovers! Why else would Rakhi Sawant's "hot new look" be BREAKING NEWS? Add a catfight-twist to the makeover mania and the sh@# hits the fan! We are referring to the two items - Rakhi and Sherlyn Chopra.
That's not all - Slippery Sherlyn calls Rambunctious Rakhi a Nano [Fine print: A poor man's item gal!] while referring to herself as a Mercedes Benz [The Classier Chamak Chalo].
All things said, [Class or no class] we decided to put the item gal's makeovers to the test…
Stage 1 - Before Correction
Stage 2 - Somewhere in Between
Somewhere in between, they lost the flab - well, almost - but the sleaze seems to not have come off! They should've tried something with Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate - one of the harshest detergent's around - to wash away that bawdy makeup! Round two seems to be a tie!
The Finale: After Dramatic Correction
The transmutation is complete! The two have metamorphosed into almost divas. This one would have been a tie too… But Sherlyn does seem to have the edge; what with having been carved much more than a Christmas Turkey - the shape of her face has changed dramatically and Rakhi Sawant too!
Well, we guess all the plastic procedures and silicon implants paid off. Money well spent, we say.
Which makeover bowled you over - Rakhi's or Sherlyn's?
Get started already and leave comments.. chop chop..

Pink Lipstick is Hot again!!
Saturday, January 23, 2010
For all the fans of Pink, here is some good news.Katy Perry’s pop-star status has put electric pink '80s lips back on the charts. Personally, I'm really excited, its a different look, young and so vibrant.
Check out how to get those bubble gum lips.
“Katy Perry loves bright and feminine colors,” says makeup artist Jake Bailey, who worked with the star on her recent “Waking Up in Vegas” video. “The bold lipsticks from Max Factor’s Vivid Impact collection, especially Ms. Understood and Pin-Up Pink, complement her young and fun style. They’re long lasting yet light in texture, making it comfortable for her to wear during the 18-hour days.”
But if you want to steal Perry’s lipstick, you’ll have to act fast—starting early next year Max Factor products will no longer be sold in the U.S. Other options? Maybelline’s new Color Sensational lipstick in Make Me Pink (available next month) is comparable to Pin-Up Pink, while M.A.C’s Girl About Town goes head-to-head with Ms. Understood.

Makeup must for 2010 - Big Lashes!
With all this overwhelming information on the 'newest' and 'bestest' products to try this year, one cannot help but me more confused. So here is a list of top 5 trends to follow this year to make your life a little 'simpler' and help you look fabulous :)
Try eyelash extensions at least once: Lash extensions are the new designer handbag. The best accessory to any outfit is a lush set of lashes. These lashes are synthetic tapered hairs that mimic a natural lash shape and come in various lengths and colors to achieve a full set of lashes. Applied by trained beauty professionals they last approx four to eight weeks and indefinitely with touch ups every 2-5 weeks. They are weightless and water proof. The procedure is absolutely painless and the lashes look and feel completely natural. No one will ever know they are not yours!!
Celebrities flaunting it -
Penelope Cruz , Hayden Panettiere, Eva Longoria, Victoria Beckham, Riya Sen, Christina Aguilera, Cheryl Cole, Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue...

Project Runway is back !!
Tuesday, January 19, 2010
With the season 7 premier on Jan 15, of hit TV show Project Runway with guest judge Nicole Richie, the “new class” of 16 contestants hoped that it marked the beginning of new era in fashion. After a lackluster season in LA, the show has returned to its rightful place in New York City, which is often referred to as the fashion Capital of the world.
Though its only been a month since the finally of season 6, the absence of Heidi, Michael, Tim, and Nina was certainly felt, but truly, it was the multiple personalities and rants of the contestants that was missed the most.
We already know that Nicole Richie will be gracing the panel on the premiere of Project Runway’s seventh season. We’ve also had our chance to look through the designers who will be competing for the top prize at Fashion Week. Now, we get a sneak peek at the new installment of the show and find out about the challenges in store for these hopefuls.
As with past seasons of the hit reality competition, the designers are going to need bucketfuls of hope to pull through. Of course, there’s a need for talent as well, especially since Tim Gunn has expressed how worried he is about the contestants.
Speaking of the contestants, they’re really big dreamers. On one preview of the show, it dawned on Tim Gunn that the ambition of these designers is overwhelming. Sometimes that’s a good thing, but in this case, it’s not.The challenges are getting bigger and more difficult than last season. These designers really need to step it up.
The contestants seem to be quirky enough to keep us watching. We’re more concerned about what they bring to the table though. What say?

Fashion trends for 2010
Wednesday, January 13, 2010
If you've spent a bomb padding up your wardrobe last year, there's good news. Fashion gurus predict that many of our favourite things from 2009 are still haute enough to flaunt in the new year. Though we'd all like to see the end of bubble-hem dresses and gladiator sandals, the future is bright for these key pieces. Leggings
They heralded the return of '80s fashion and just don't seem to be falling off the style hotdial. Now available in faux leather and soft denim (jeggings), designer Anita Dongre attributes their popularity to "their versatility and the fact that they have replaced churi pants to be worn under kurtis. They are also lighter than jeans, which suit our climate."
Cartoon t-shirts First Popeye, then Aamir Khan, everybody jumped onto the cartoon T-shirt trend. Even the Zoozoos got their own tees. Designer Nachiket Barve predicts they'll be around for 2010 because "India doesn't follow seasons to a hilt and whatever people like will carry forward. Also more than half of India is under 30 years of age and these tees appeal to them."

Black nail polish
The goth look took off overnight with the success of Twilight. Everyone worth their manicure began to sport hues of midnight blue and black. Cory Walia, celebrity make-up artist advises, "The wet look is still in. Wear nail paints that look like black from a distance but reveal blue and green tones from up close.
Platform heels
Last year, the gladiator heels conquered every wardrobe from Manhattan to Mumbai. According to Kapil Mahtani of Tresmode shoes, the gladiator flat evolved into a heel shape and was finally blessed with a platform to make it more comfortable. "Wedge heels or hidden platforms built into stilettos make them more comfortable for women who don't want to sacrifice wearing heels. It's an architectural concept." Mahtani also advises us to look out for shoeties, strappy heels that rise up to just above the ankle like a bootie.

The 'In' thing - Lean, mean, Skinny Jeans
Everything old is new again. Faded or torn - Skinny Jeans aren't dead yet.
Though the demise of the drainpipe has been predicted for some time now, but there are still plenty of pairs of skinny jeans to be found, and there are still plenty of people buying them.
The ones to buy this season are super-skinny skinnies, which are great for layering, in black, navy, bleached denim and even white!
So what do you think ? Love it or Hate it?

Ten tips to get the body you want:

8. Recognise that there is no easy way.
9. Don’t be a lazy bum. You only need six hours of sleep. Get up and get moving.
